Elan Dimond was born April 2006. A groovy little baby with big smiles and lots of interest in people and all things with wheels. He is a big part of my creative life and helps put everything in perspective. His cool bounciness has inspired a few tunes to date, I'm just waiting for him to get bigger so he can accompany us on the egg shakers at gigs.
Yes, we moved again! after 3 years in Los Angeles and 1 year in Boston, we packed up house (baby and all) and shipped away to Melbourne Australia. We love it here, a very peaceful and green (yes, it will rain again...) metropolitan area with plenty of parks, and a seemingly endless array of cafes and coiffure. And, cafes within coiffure salons. Thankfully you can't get your hair done inside the cafes.
Kafka pony is a group consisting of myself, Jonathan Dimond on bass and Paul Tavenner on drums. The repertoire consists of pieces composed by myself and Jonathan as well as some arranged standards. To hear some of my compositions for the group visit the Music page. Our first full length CD was just released in February 2006 - check it out.
Details coming soon!

Tea has become one of my ever growing passions. I enjoy many cups a day (not always with caffeine) even in the hottest days of the summer. I have an ever growing collection that includes white tea and Japanese Sencha powder. In Los Angeles for a great range of teas visit: Wing Hop Fung in China Town. Maruki which is a Japanese super store in Gardena, California has an awesome range of the Japanese fix. If you ever happen to visit Melbourne, Australia, be sure to stop by T2. You will absolutely love this store!. |
